On Saturday 5th of March 2016, Warrington Market held a surprise celebration for Dave Thompson, with over a hundred people attending. The Town Mayor and Mayoress gathered together with the public to celebrate the work of Warrington Disability Partnership CEO’s surprise 25th Anniversary.
This ‘surprise’ celebration gave people the chance to acknowledge the brilliant hard work and achievements that this amazing charity has achieved, helping so many people over their 25 years. Dave Thompson was one of the founders of the organisation 25 years ago, which is still going strong and is only getting stronger, thanks to Dave and the rest of the team!
Throughout the celebration, we saw some brilliant performances by ‘Warrington BSL Signing Choir’ where they performed to some of the nations favourite, past and present songs also hearing some great singers from ‘Ella’ where we saw several standing ovations!
As you can see below, everyone in attendance was more than happy with the fantastic performances that took place during the day, also willing to show their appreciation for the wonderful things Warrington Disability Partnership have done over the years!
We saw a brilliant performance by these young ladies (below) where they re-enacted a scene from the 1982 film Annie ‘It’s a hard knock life’.
Here we see the mayoress posing for a photo with a young child who presented her with flowers.
After all the brilliant performances and speeches, the celebration came to an end with a selection of food for all the people whom attended the celebration, provided by the Corner Cafe. Finishing off the day was the orchestra, playing their part in the festivities.
