As some of you may know, work has already begun for the re-development of Warrington Market 2016 and onwards.
The original market will still remain open during the course of the construction.
Warrington Market Traders, with help from our very own photographers at Foto Crazy, are aiming keep everyone updated on weekly basis, with photographs to show what has been taking place on the construction site. The site is set to be the temporary market which will be ready in Spring 2017, for the Warrington market stall holders to move into, whilst the demolition of the current Warrington Market takes place.
Eventually a new permanent market will be constructed using the old Boots building and lots of exciting developments are planned for this area, including a cinema and restaurants by 2019.
In the early stages of the re-development, the workers started out on a cold February morning, with heavy machinery being used, preparing for construction on the temporary market. The area has been flattened and fenced off ready for building to commence.
Here we see the workers are all hard at work, another cold and windy day with a spot of snow in March! Not enough to stop the workers, who continued to keep the construction flowing smoothly for the temporary market to be ready for Spring 2017.
Today we see a bit more progress has been made since last week, with the workers working hard, on yet another cold, wet and windy day in March 2016.
